Baikal Teal at Cheonsu Bay in Seosan, Korea. They took flight at dusk from their roost on the bay water to surrounding rice fields for their food through the night. November 2003, by Mr. Yamamoto, Yoshio, Kamoike Kansatsukan Tomono-kai (Katano Kamoike Supporter Group).

Wetlands International

The conservation efforts for the globally threatened Baikal Teal is among priority actions in the Action Plan for the Conservation of Migratory Anatidae in the East Asian Flyway: 2001-2005 of Asia Pacific Migratory Waterbird Conservation Strategy. Anatidae Working Group of Asia Pacific Migratory Waterbird Conservation Committee established a Task Force for the species to enhance the efforts under the Anatidae Action Plan.
